Healthy Living Alternatives, Inc. is seeking a full-time, well trained, and enthusiastic Nurse Practitioner to fill opening(s) in our practice. New graduates are welcome to apply for this position.
Candidate(s) would work primarily in our Weight Management Ontario and Rancho Cucamonga clinic locations, with possibility to float to our other locations.
The candidate will provide non-urgent health care for patients in our offices with training and in accordance with the general policies and standards of practice, as established by the clinic and licensing board. The candidate will deliver care appropriate for a health center with a multicultural patient population. Candidates will provide diagnosis, treatment, and encouragement and support through relationship building, education, counseling, in order to progress the patient to their optimum health status.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Collect subjective data (obtain history).
- Collect objective data (perform a physical exam).
- Develop an assessment (diagnosis).
- Develop and implement a management plan.
- Order pharmacologic interventions.
- Develop and implement an educational plan.
- Plan for appropriate follow-up care.
- Consistently supports compliance and the Principles of Responsibility by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information, protecting the assets of the organization, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting non-compliance, and adhering to applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, accreditation and licenser requirements and Healthy Living Alternatives policies and procedures.
- Must be willing to float to other clinic locations and can provide a valid driver’s license
Education: An individual who possesses:
Nurse Practitioner- Active California NP/RN license and certification
DEA
Malpractice Insurance
Knowledge and Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills and patient empathy. Ability to relate to culturally diverse patients and community. Willing and able to assume and delegate the needs of clinic patients, as a member of the health care team. Have a thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of medicine commensurate with his/her training.
Minimum Experience: Completion of an approved program or BC.
License and Certifications: Current valid unrestricted California license and Board Certification
