PROGRAM MANAGER
Overview:
Healthy Living Norman is a non-profit wellness organization for adults aged 50 and older. We are the operator of the City of Norman’s state-of-the-art Adult Wellness & Education Center. We promote health and wellness by providing opportunities for physical activity, social engagement, and lifelong learning.
Position Summary:
This full-time, on-site position promotes the well-being of members by planning and managing the social programming for Healthy Living Norman. This includes event planning, program evaluation, communication, collaborating with partner organizations, new member orientation, managing the center’s master schedule, coordinating the monthly Program Guide and digital signage, managing the volunteer program, and other tasks as required. This position is a key contributing member of our administrative leadership team and reports to the branch director.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop innovative, engaging programming to empower and enhance the well-being of members aged 50 and older.
- Research and analyze member interest and needs. Design programs to meet those needs.
- Plan and coordinate special events and social activities.
- Coordinate the facility’s volunteer program. Serve as the point of contact for volunteer-led member groups.
- Evaluate impact of programs and services offered by HLN. Monitor customer satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain rapport with members. Address membership concerns and issues while displaying excellent customer service skills.
- Cultivate and maintain partnerships with key stakeholders in a manner that engenders rapport and credibility.
- Market HLN programs and activities. Update monthly program guide.
- Coordinate scheduling of center activities, compiling monthly and quarterly calendars.
- Assist in preparation of reports, proposals, and presentations.
- Other tasks as required.
Minimum Required Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in recreation, public health, education, social work, gerontology, or related field.
- 1-2 years experience working with older adults, preferably in a program development capacity.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office applications.
