Job description

Medical Billing and Coding Job Responsibilities include:

• Billing all insurances within timely filing guidelines, as well as follow-up on all claim rejections to ensure payment.
• Manages billing reports to assure that all billing is captured accurately and timely.
• Completes chart audits.
• Assures Claims Integrity for the agency.
• Review provider notes and charts for accuracy
• Evaluate explanation of benefits (EOB)
• Assign appropriate medical codes to all diagnoses or services
• Translate codes into insurance companies’ preferred coding system, whether Commercial, Medicare/Medicaid or Self-pay accounts
• Perform credentialing duties for organization and providers as needed
• Post payments, maintain accounts receivables and prepare regular reports.
• Occasionally support team members in other areas (reception, medical assistant) when needed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years experience in Medical Billing
• Strong computer skills
• Thorough and working knowledge of Medicare Home Health billing/CMS regulations and requirements
• Understand basic medical terminology.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $42,500.00 - $47,000.00 per year
