Duties
- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments for patients.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses to treatments.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic patient care.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding mental health conditions and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic health record systems such as Athenahealth or Cerner.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory standards and hospital protocols during patient interactions.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in psychiatric care.
Experience
- Previous experience in an outpatient setting is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated proficiency in medication administration and pain management techniques.
- Experience working with children in a psychiatric capacity is a plus.
- Familiarity with airway management procedures is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team are essential.
