Yoga Instructor

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Yoga Instructor to join our wellness team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in yoga practices and demonstrate a commitment to promoting health and well-being among our clients. This role requires an individual who can create a welcoming environment, guide students through various yoga styles, and adapt classes to meet the diverse needs of participants.

Responsibilities

• Lead engaging and safe yoga classes for individuals of all skill levels, ensuring proper alignment and technique.
• Develop class plans that incorporate various yoga styles, including but not limited to Hatha, Vinyasa, and Yin Yoga.
• Provide modifications and adjustments to accommodate students with different abilities or injuries.
• Foster a supportive atmosphere that encourages personal growth and mindfulness among participants.
• Maintain knowledge of body mechanics, anatomy, and physiology to enhance teaching effectiveness.
• Collaborate with other fitness professionals, such as personal trainers or Pilates instructors, to promote holistic wellness programs.
• Stay updated on industry trends and continuously seek professional development opportunities in yoga and related disciplines.

Experience

• Certification in Yoga Instruction from a recognized institution is required.
• Experience in teaching yoga classes is preferred; additional experience in dance, kickboxing, cycle, or Pilates is a plus.
• Strong understanding of body mechanics and anatomy knowledge to ensure safe practice for all participants.
• Previous experience in a gym or fitness environment is beneficial.
• Ability to connect with clients on a personal level while maintaining professionalism.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $38.80 - $42.44 per hour

Schedule:

• Morning shift

Supplemental Pay:

• Commission pay
