At a Glance:

Healthy Young Minds is looking for a licensed skilled, dynamic Mental Health Counselors: (*LCSW, LPC, LMFT) with teletherapy experience who are independently licensed professionals who do not currently require formal supervision. Healthy Young Minds believes that matching a child’s needs to a provider based on expertise allows for more efficient and effective therapy. Through our telehealth model, families can access therapists with a wide range of qualifications and expertise.
Our telehealth model offers providers a unique opportunity to take on additional cases, regardless of your location. You can choose the cases that best match your skill set and interests. Moreover, you’ll join a highly ethical, innovative community committed to serving the diverse needs of children and have opportunities to mentor or partner with other therapists in your field. Our team consists of Speech, Occupational, and Psychological testing /diagnosing, Counselors, Behavioral, Music and Art Therapy services that work together to meet the needs of the whole child. Scheduling is flexible, so each therapist can create a healthy work-life balance. This is a W2 position or contract position.
Mental Health Counselor duties and responsibilities:
- Performing services in a teletherapy setting.
- Creating treatment plans to suit the individualized needs of a diverse population of patients.
- Educating patients, family, and caregivers about disorders and therapeutic strategies.
- Keeping detailed records relating to patient conditions, care plans, therapies, and progress
- Reporting progress and current status to appropriate parties, including caregivers, teachers, medical professionals, and insurance.
- Complying with federal and state therapy regulations
- Maintaining required state and national licenses.
Minimal Mental Health Counselor requirements:
- MUST have a valid state issued professional counseling license. (LPC, LCSW,LMFT, ).
- Strong understanding of conditions, causes and treatments of a variety of disorders.
- Independently licensed professionals who do not currently require formal supervision.
- Excellent coaching and verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with computers, Zoom and healthcare EMR's.
- Proficiency in administering teletherapy.'
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES -Assists in client intake process -Collaborates with other agency professionals -Writes treatment plans, progress notes, and client assessments and evaluation -Administers outcome measures to clients and caregivers -Attends appropriate meetings, including staff meetings and trainings -Maintains client electronic health records
