Healthy Young Minds (HYM) provides mental and behavioral health care via teletherapy. Since day one, we have worked to ensure more families have access to the behavioral and mental health care they need to thrive. Currently serving clients in 6 states with plans to expand to all 50 states, Healthy Young Minds also accepts Medicaid, enabling HYM to reach a population that has typically faced significant access to care issues.
HYM provides a full range of therapeutic services to meet the developmental and mental health needs of children, teens, young adults, adults and their families, including behavioral therapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, music therapy, art therapy, counseling and testing. HYM also specializes in the assessment and treatment of developmental delays and offers a full range of therapies focused on early intervention.
Research confirms that teletherapy is equally as effective as traditional in-person therapy, with some unique advantages. Through teletherapy, we can support families in the convenience of their own home. Our interactive sessions are highly creative and are personalized and engaging.

At a Glance:
- Remote, work from home position
- PT & FT, 1099 & W2 options
- Caseload flexibility, 10 hours/week minimum
- Availability: After school, evenings and weekends highly preferred (to match demand)
- Paid Indirect time / Admin hours commensurate to caseload
- W2 positions: 401k and 9 Paid Bank Holidays
- W2 positions: $500 Annual Continuing Ed Stipend for
- Case consultation, team support and professional development are all available
- Must be willing to work with children from diverse backgrounds
- Pediatric population, with limited opportunity to see adult clients
- No health benefits yet
- Starting @ $60 per hour
- Performs services in a teletherapy setting
- Performs initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition and needs.
- Develops and implements therapeutic interventions appropriate to treatment goals.
- Performs interventions utilizing art therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the age, condition, and needs of the patient or group served.
- Designs, coordinates, and provides art therapy services and programs for a variety of patient and community populations
- Keeps detailed records relating to patient conditions, care plans, therapies, and progress
- Reports progress and current status to appropriate parties, including caregivers, teachers, medical professionals, and insurance.
- Complies with federal and state therapy regulations
- Maintains required state and national licenses.
- Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Art Therapy, Creative Arts Therapy, or related field.
- Required: LPC or LPCC as well as an Art Therapist (ATR) or (ATRP) or Board-Certified Art Therapist (ATR-BC) by the Art Therapy Credentials Board (ATCB). Valid state issued license if required by law.
- 1 year of teletherapy preferred
- Experience working with children as an Art Therapist.
- Have a strong understanding of conditions, causes and treatments of a variety of disorders.
- Excellent coaching and verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with computers, PowerPoint, Zoom and healthcare databases.
- Proficiency in administering teletherapy assessments.
