Job Description: Construction Project Coordinator
Position Summary:
The Construction Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting the planning, execution, and completion of construction projects. This role involves coordinating between project managers, construction teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. The coordinator ensures smooth communication, organizes documentation, and monitors progress to meet project goals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning and Scheduling
· Prepares & sets up project files for jobs.
· Coordinate project meetings and prepare meeting minutes.
· Track project milestones and deliverables.
2. Communication and Coordination
· Act as a liaison between internal teams and subcontractors.
· Communicate project status, updates, and potential issues effectively.
· Miscellaneous administrative duties as required by project managers for
on-schedule project execution.
3. Documentation and Reporting
· Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, permits, change orders, and reports.
· Generate, issue & track subcontractor purchase order agreements.
· Collect & track subcontractor insurance certificates & W-9’s.
· Prepare project documentation for jobs, including construction schedules, subcontractor lists & closeout letters, etc.
4. Compliance and Quality Control
· Acts as liaison between Healy and county, city, mall & landlord representatives specific to licensing, permitting and subcontractor requirements.
· Research city/state requirements for clients and landlords
· Complete notices of commencements, when required by the state.
5. Procurement and Resource Management
· Assist in sourcing materials and equipment.
· Coordinate delivery schedules and ensure timely availability of resources.
· Collaborate with procurement teams to manage vendor relationships.
Qualifications:
Experience: 1 year in construction coordination, project management, or a similar role.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (Preferred).
Skills:
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project) and MS Office Suite. Strong emphasis on Microsoft Excel (Required).
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge: Understanding of construction processes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
