What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hearing Aid Specialist or Audiologist position at Hear To You, LLC?
We are a privately owned hearing healthcare practice with over 40 years of experience and 10 locations. Currently seeking a full or part time Hearing Instrument Specialist or Audiologist who is driven, self-motivated, and passionate about helping patients hear again.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide quality care and aftercare of dispensing services such as hearing tests, hearing aid fittings, educate and train hearing aid users of best practices.
- Perform checks on hearing aids and other amplification devices. This includes but is not limited to troubleshooting, conducting repairs to hearing aids, earmolds and cleaning of hearing aids.
- Local community outreach including health fairs and developing physician relationships.
- Counsel patients on the purchase of their hearing aids, devices, and accessories. Maintain a current understanding of third-party payors and various payment methods in accordance with federal and state laws.
- Support Telehealth initiatives (Remote Care) to expand patient care and product portfolio, coach and educate patients on hearing aid devices.
- Ability to operate audiometric equipment and to interpret the results.
- Ability to communicate test results and interpret and propose treatment in a manner easily understood by patients. Communication is key!
