Job Description
We are seeking a Head Teacher with DCF credentials (or in process of obtaining) to be the leader of the Educational Programming.
Candidate salary will be pending the current credentials: Top tier salary incudes Degree is Early childhood, Montessori certification (AMS/AMI) and DCF director credential; however, we will support other teachers in obtaining additional credentials.
The Head Teacher will be responsible for overseeing all the academic programmatic aspects, staffing, training and provisions of educational activities.
Head Teacher will work alongside administration team for development of programs and grant opportunities.
This position is a full time annual position;
S/he will provide quality and child directed education to children within small teacher /child ratios.
We will facilitate certifications in Montessori and DCF requirements if and as needed
BILINGUAL (English-Spanish language) a plus but English Proficiency is Necessary!
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Experience as an early childhood teacher for the preschool aged children (3-6 certification)
- DCF staff certificate required to work with preschool aged children ; director credential a plus!
- Ability to work well with families and other team members.
- Dept. of Education teaching certificate a big plus! (salary will be raised with DOE teaching certificate)
- Montessori certification or ability to train and get certified-immediately.
- Complete understanding and ability to implement all regulatory processes.
- Participate in parent and staff meetings pertaining to programs you serve.
- Participation in grant(s)/ professional programming- we will train you if you are interetsed.
- Participation in programmatic planning for summer programs.

Salary for positions have a range and is based on educational degrees, certifications, and years of experience.; however, we will compete with current salary and market.
