Hearn Industrial Services – Chicago, IN - Forklift Drivers

We are looking for several full time Forklift Drivers who have a VALID certification from a reputable company. Must be flexible to work both forklift and production when needed and, have an OPEN availability.
SHIFTS & WAGE:
- Crew A: Monday to Thursday – 6:00am to 4:30am
- Crew B: Tuesday to Friday – 6:00pm to 4:30am
- Crew C: Friday & Saturday – 6:00am to 4:30pm AND Sunday & Monday – 6:00pm to 4:30am
- Wage to be determined.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous experience working in shipping / receiving.
- Valid forklift certification with a minimum 3 years prior experience driving a forklift in a busy warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Proficient at reading and writing English.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility and adaptability for various tasks as jobs changes by customer requirements.
- Exceptional work ethic, able to work well with others in a team environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise.
- Accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle, which includes pre and post shift inspection of vehicle and reporting of any maintenance requirements or issues with the equipment.
- Receive and unload inbound shipments, safely move product to storage locations.
- Efficiently stack and store products in appropriate areas.
- Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage. Report quality variances.
- Pull and prepare product for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped.
- Perform picking duties in an efficient manner that meets customer service standards.
- Efficiently move product from staging and/or storage areas.
- Load, unload, move, stack, and stage product and materials using a forklift, or other power equipment.
- Maintain the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
- Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods.
- Work with team members to ensure appropriate records and reports are completed to guarantee tight inventory control and security. Assist in physical inventories when required.
- Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety.
- Other duties as assigned.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 48 per week
