Operations Liaison
JOB DESCRIPTION
REPORTS TO: Operations Manager
SUPPORTS: Hearn Industrial Services , East Chicago Indiana
JOB SUMMARY: We are looking for an experienced Plant Liaison to oversee and coordinate the daily warehousing activities for our facility Hearn Industrial Services East Chicago Indiana. You will implement productions, productivity, quality and customer service standards and achieve the appropriate level of volume within time limits. The goal is to ensure that daily operations meet and exceed daily performance expectations and to increase the company’s overall market share.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching and assuring quality of goods
- Measure and report the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employee performance
- Organize and maintain inventory and storage area
- Ensure all customer needs, requirements and metrics are met
- Ensure shipments’ and inventory transactions’ accuracy
- Communicate job expectations and coach employees
- Determine staffing levels and assign workload
- Communicate with customer on all levels
- Maintain item records, document necessary information and utilize reports to project warehouse status
- Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative work procedures and practices
- Consult and coordinate activities with other departments
- Provide training on systems, processes and internal procedures are required
- Provide launch support for new programs as needed
- Promote the company and their services
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Automotive Logistics
- Proven warehouse supervisory experience
- Day to day management of the incoming/outgoing activities within the Ford Chicago Assembly Plant
- Highly effective supervisory skills and techniques
- Knowledge of warehouse software packages and MS Office proficiency (Excel/PowerPoint)
- Ability to input, retrieve and analyze data
- Hands-on commitment to getting the job done
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to direct and coordinate operations
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- BS degree in logistics, supply chain management or business administration
QUALIFICATIONS (Training, Education, Past Experience)
PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS: Stand, walk, or be mobile for up to an eight-hour shift; ascend and descend from a forklift; lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.; bend, twist and reach to check freight, stack boxes, and label.
Wage -$22.00 to $24.00 dollars per hour
Shift B and Shift C .50 cents/hour shift premium
3 positions -1 person per shift
Team A- Monday to Thursday-Day Shift
Team B- Tuesday to Friday- Afternoon Shift
Team C-Friday and Saturday-Day Shift- Sunday and Monday Night Shift
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
