Responsibilities
- Assign and edit pieces ranging from quick-turn stories newsy stories to longer reported pieces
- Edit and post daily political blogs from contributing political writer, Charlie P. Pierce
- Edit print column from contributing political writer, Charlie P. Pierce
- Write short articles and reported pieces
- Work closely with the design and photo team to execute larger packages
- Seek, manage, and grow relationships with both established writers and up-and-coming voices to contribute
- 6 years of media experience in the consumer lifestyle space
- Experience working in a CMS, including building stories
- Ability to work on deadline in a fast-paced environment
- Deadline-driven, creative thinker, with a strong journalistic sensibility
- Versatile, able to shift gears quickly and manage several projects simultaneously in a daily publishing environment
- Familiar with analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Google Trends
- Knowledge and familiarity with SEO best practices

Salary : $83,000 - $100,000
