Harper's Bazaar is looking for a knowledgeable and experienced Social Media Editor and Writer who is well-versed in the social media and the fashion landscape. In this position, you will work closely with the Executive Digital Director and Social Media Editor, to innovate, shape and expand the brand's fashion social coverage by ideating, collaborating, and executing across social platforms and engaging TikTok and YouTube videos to further drive traffic and scale.
Responsibilities

This position is based in the NYC office a minimum of 3 days a week.
This is a position covered under the Writers Guild of America, East, Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Responsibilities
- Work closely with video team to develop new social-first franchises
- Pen engaging social copy across platform
- Writing and Contributing to overall output of Harper’s Bazaar digital editorial
- Willingness to participate in video franchises and appear on camera in TikToks
- Pitch 1-2 social coverage ideas per day
- Execute social media output across Facebook, X, Instagram, Pinterest and as well as new emerging platforms, in order to deliver engagement, traffic and commercial revenue
- Create engaging social video
- Use tools such as Dash Hudson, True Anthem and Google Analytics to provide actionable insights to help shape the brands’ content strategies
- Be available on weekends for timely posts and tentpole events (Oscars, Grammys etc.)
- Help drive creativity and innovation across the portfolio, using witty, imaginative concepts, formats and franchises
- Monitor and stay up to date with industry trends and competitor activity ensuring these updates are shared with the portfolio
You've had 3-5 years experience doing the following:
- Creating and posting engaging social video, tailoring the content to multiple social media platforms
- Posting to all relevant social media platforms for a national or international publication or relevant brand, especially Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram and TikTok
- Writing a must. Clear, accurate and creative writing tone
- Delivering in-depth and actionable reporting across all social media platforms
- Creating strategy for growth and delivering on business objectives for social, video, and revenue
- Working with social data and insights platforms Dash Hudson, True Anthem, Parse.ly ,
- Photoshop, Premiere Pro and After Effects or other image/video editing software experience - Desirable

Salary : $67,000 - $77,000
