Creative Services Director
16WAPT, the ABC affiliate in Jackson, MS is looking for a Creative Services Director. You are someone who can create and develop targeted, research-driven marketing/promotional campaigns that connect our brand to viewers across multi-media platforms. As Creative Services Director, you are strategic and are creative using the latest marketing trends. You can manage numerous projects simultaneously, while elevating the look and feel of our station's brand. You will manager and inspire a team of accomplished creative personnel and help develop and produce targeted, research-driven promotional campaigns that connect us to viewers across all broadcast and digital platforms. You will report to the President and General Manager.
Responsibilities
- Create, lead, and implement the brand marketing of the station
- Manage production of compelling image, sweeps and special event campaigns for all platforms
- Directly produce or manage the creative team on the production of compelling brand-targeted station/news image, targeted special reports, daily topicals, commercials, programming, and special event campaigns for all platforms
- Schedule staff station promotional events
- Provide inspiration and direction to grow the creative team skills
- Special projects coordination and fulfillment
- Produce and post targeted social media marketing
- Identify dynamic multi-platform strategies to increase station brand awareness and ratings
- Manage daily promotional on-air content and inventory for daily on-air logs
- Attend outside community functions or meetings
- Identify strategies for increasing station brand awareness and resonance
- Liaison with network, syndicators, community leaders regarding station promotional activities
- Develop and monitor annual department budget and expenses
Requirements
- 5 years in station marketing/promotion/brand management
- Must be creative, a compelling writer, videographer/photographer, editor, and be able to use research to meet station goals
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, videography, photography, Wide Orbit and ENPS
- Lead, create, critique creative concepts and graphic treatment to be incorporated into the station brand
- Can collaborate and communicate with news staff and station personnel
- Will critique graphic treatment to be incorporated into the station brand
- Valid driver's license (hire is contingent on good driving record)
- Related military experience will be considered
- In-person attendance is required
