Marketing Strategist & Planner, Manager
A passionate and pro-active marketer and planner to join Hearst Newspaper Media Strategy
This position will support Strategic Account Executives across Hearst respond to critical RFP’s and sales proposals. They will help design ad campaigns that engage targeted customers in a way that speaks to their attitudes, outlook, and interests. In addition, it will help the strategic team’s proactively go after new business through market insights, developing custom audience strategies and capabilities through visually attractive and compelling presentations with a strong story.

Position Requirements include:
- Strong PowerPoint creation skills that will help to convey the campaign vision, strategy and capabilities through a comprehensive story
- Ability to present well and comfortable leading a presentation with clients and leadership
- Understand the nuances to strategic campaign development including the best target demographics, best time to run and which mediums
- A firm grasp of digital platforms including digital media, native advertising, audience data and social media
- Ability to collaborate with sales, marketing, advertising, and product teams to facilitate a comprehensive plan.
- Ability to support market research to help determine desired customer profile and strategy.
- Analytical skills that help develop and interpret campaign insights
- Must be aware of trends in traditional media, social media and other forms of digital media innovation.
- A creative mind to help ad campaigns stand out from the competition.
- A strong communicator that can convey the vision of an ad campaign to creative teams and sales executives and clients.
- 2-3 years’ experience in a fast-paced Sales and marketing organization
- Highly organized and able to shift priorities quickly
- Direct experience and knowledge built upon working in/or alongside Sales/Marketing (i.e., a basic understanding of sales process and marketing’s support role)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office especially PPT
- Ability to work cross-departmentally
- Comfortable with presenting and leading calls including with clients
- Keen attention to detail
- Exceptional communication skills
- Not afraid to ask questions
- Capable of meeting tight deadlines
- Clear team-player attitude
- Comfortable with rolling with the punches
