Facilities Manager

POSITION SUMMARY: We are looking for a motivated Facilities Maintenance Worker to ensure the efficient and smooth operation of our facilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, a solid understanding of maintenance procedures, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner. As a Facilities Maintenance Worker, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe, clean, and functional environment for our employees and visitors.

Location: Houston, TX

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including but not limited to, repairing plumbing systems, electrical systems, HVAC systems, and other building equipment.
• Conduct inspections to identify and address maintenance and repair needs.
• Respond promptly to work orders and resolve issues efficiently.
• Perform general maintenance tasks, such as painting, carpentry, and basic landscaping.
• Conduct regular inspections of the facilities to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Collaborate with the Facilities Manager to develop and implement preventive maintenance programs.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and inventory.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels of maintenance and repair supplies.
• Assist in coordinating and overseeing external contractors when needed.
• Follow established procedures and protocols to ensure the security of the facilities.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications are a plus.
• Proven experience as a Facilities Maintenance Worker or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance procedures, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building repairs.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Solid organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects as required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
