Your Impact
Hearst Magazines is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our finance team based out of Charlotte, NC. The Senior Accountant will play an important role within the Subscription Accounting Department working on a new Revenue Growth Management platform while maintaining existing finance operations across all Hearst Magazines brands.
Responsibilities
What You'll Do :
- Preparation of monthly journal entries and account reconciliations
- Collect, interpret and evaluate new platform subscription-based accounting reports
- Follow ASC 606 Standards for revenue recognition
- Partner with various financial directors across the organization to ensure all operational activities are recorded in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Identify and implement process improvement opportunities particularly in relation to automation with regards to Membership accounting
- Protect the organization's core competencies and values by keeping information accurate and confidential
- Participating in educational opportunities to continuously develop skills and stay informed of industry trends
