Primary Care Nurse Practitioner opportunity in beautiful NW Montana, near Glacier National Park. Heart & Hands Midwifery and Family Healthcare is seeking an experienced Primary Care Provider. Certification and active Montana license are required. This position is full time. We are a busy, fast-paced clinic looking for a caring individual who easily retains information and pays attention to details. Emotional literacy and strong social skills are necessary. Our practice is privately owned and consists of a team of 4 CNMs, 2 Family Nurse Practitioners, and a Physician Assistant. The NP will provide high-quality, patient-centered healthcare services to individuals throughout their lifespan, focusing on prevention, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories and physical exams
- Diagnosing and treating patients for both acute and chronic illnesses within the scope of practice
- Developing and implementing individual treatment plans
- Prescribing medications and other therapeutic interventions as appropriate
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, including lab work and imaging
- Completing tasks that are assigned to you via the clinic’s EHR in a timely fashion
- Recognize signs of substance abuse or addiction and take steps to get patients into an appropriate treatment program
- Recognize signs of mental or emotional illness in patients. Treat and/or refer appropriately - emphasis on treating in clinic as able preferred
- Report suspected cases of abuse or neglect to county or state authorities.
- Providing patient education on disease prevention, lifestyle modifications, and health maintenance
- Collaborate with other health care providers and specialists to coordinate patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with legal and practice standards
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and clinic operations

Experience, Education and Credentials:
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Active Montana board of nursing license for RN and APRN
- Minimum of 2 years practical experience preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Active DEA License
