What are the responsibilities and job description for the Caregiver/Personal Assistant position at HEART AND HOME IN HOME CARE?
Duties:
- Provide personal assistance and support to individuals with Dementia and end of life.
- Assist with daily activities such as meal preparation, cleaning, and personal hygiene
- Administer medication according to prescribed schedules and guidelines
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors
- Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals under your care
- Advocate for resident rights and ensure their needs are met
- Collaborate with social workers, nurses, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and individual progress
Experience:
- Previous experience working with individuals with Dementia
- Knowledge of first aid procedures and ability to respond to medical emergencies
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques and strategies
- Understanding of medication administration protocols and procedures
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Ability to follow established systems and protocols for providing care
