Medical Receptionist: We are a Cardiology specialty clinic. We are seeking individuals willing to be a part of a team that is dedicated to patient care and able to function in a fast pace working environment.
Medical Receptionist: Obtains revenue by recording and updating financial information, recording and collecting patient charges, controlling credit extended to patients, and filing, collecting, and expediting third-party claims. Duties and Responsibilities: Serves patients by greeting and helping them, scheduling appointments, and maintaining records and accounts. Welcomes patients and visitors in person or on the telephone, and answering or referring inquiries. Keeps patient appointments on schedule in the EMR and working off the EMR to maintain clinic physician’s schedule by notifying provider of patient’s arrival, reviewing patient check-in compared to schedule, and reminding providers of service delays. Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information. Obtains revenue by recording and updating financial information, recording and collecting patient charges, controlling credit extended to patients, and filing, collecting, and expediting patient information in order to assist Clinic’s Billing personnel. Maintains medical supplies inventory and performing preventive maintenance to keep medical equipment operating. Verifies patient insurance information by interviewing patient and recording it in the patient’s account. Secures patient information and maintains patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records; completing diagnostic coding and procedure coding; and keeping patient information confidential. Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations. Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders, and verifying receipt. Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs. Serves and protects the practice by adhering to professional standards; practice policies and procedures; and federal, state, and local requirements.
Work Hours and Benefits: This opening is consists of 30 hrs a week but at times can be 40hrs. Monday through Friday. Clinic hours are from 8AM through 6PM. Individual must be willing to work overtime when needed. Some Saturdays may be necessary as well.
