Fully Remote Mental Health Counselor
Location: Galena, IL
Applicants may reside in IA, IL, or WI (WI residents will be a contract position)
Heart and Solutions is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Outpatient Mental Health Counselor to join our team. This full-time, 40-hour-per-week position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while maintaining a healthy work-life balance with flexible scheduling and administrative support.

About the Position:
As a Mental Health Counselor, you will:
- Provide individual and family counseling to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, families, and adults.
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques and interventions
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Receive support from an administrative and billing team, as well as clinical and administrative supervisors.
- Temporary licensed providers will benefit from clinical supervision while fully licensed providers are eligible for advanced clinical training opportunities
- Access to free live and on-demand continuing education trainings
Note: This position offers compensation for both billable and non-billable hours.
Requirements:
To apply, you must hold one of the following licenses in the state of Iowa or Illinois:
- Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
- Temporary Licensed Mental Health Counselor (t-LMHC)
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
- Temporary Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (t-LMFT)
- Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW)
- Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
- Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC)
