What are the responsibilities and job description for the Phlebotomist position at Heart and Vascular Care Inc?
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a phlebotomist to join our growing team!

Monday-Friday, 8AM - 5PM, no nights or weekends
Duties may include but not limited to:
- Preparing patients before drawing blood.
- Explaining blood draw procedures to patients and answering any questions about the process.
- Draw blood from patients.
- Gathering medical testing materials, including needles, sample vials, blood storage bags and test tubes.
- Verifying patient information and labeling blood samples properly.
- Perform EKG's.
- Place cardiac monitors on patients.
- Accurately updating patient information in the organization's database.
Requirements:
- Dependable team player is a must.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Data entry and computer skills.
- Maintain a positive attitude with patients and co-workers under all conditions.
- Sustain excellent attendance and avoid excessive absences and/or tardiness.
- If not already a nationally certified phlebotomist, must gain certification within six months of employment.
