RN/LPN - School Clinic

Job Title: Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse

Job Summary:

An excellent opportunity to work as an RN/LPN in a low-stress clinic environment serving youth and young adults ages 16 - 25. This is a mix between school, occupational and walk-in clinic nursing. The nurse works out of the clinic on campus. No back-breaking shifts or long hours pushing med carts. This is rewarding and fun place to work! Kindness is must! You will work in a team of professionals including other nurses, providers and campus staff. Options for varied start times and flexible shifts. The ideal fit would be a nurse who can work at least 20 hours per week. Must be able to draw blood. These are Monday to Friday hours, day shift.

Responsibilities:

Assisting with new student intake each week

Processing MD orders

Assisting with chart compliance

Student triage as needed

Assisting with medication reconciliation and otc administration

Assisting the Health and Wellness Director as assigned

Experience:
- Valid LPN license in the state of practice, Multistate License Okay! - Ability to take thorough and accurate chart notes
- Experience working in a clinic, UC or school environment is a plus
- Strong patient assessment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Skills:
- Critical thinking -Strong patient assessment skills are appreciated
- Ability to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary team
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation

Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
