Janitorial Worker

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to perform a variety of cleaning tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks in assigned areas, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
• Conduct industrial cleaning and commercial cleaning duties as needed.
• Maintain floors through buffing, mopping, and vacuuming to ensure they are clean and presentable.
• Assist with residential painting projects when required.
• Carry out facilities maintenance tasks to support the overall upkeep of the building.
• Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts efficiently.
• Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and report any maintenance issues to management.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment at all times.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in custodial or janitorial services is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques and equipment operation is a plus.
• Familiarity with floor care methods including buffing and polishing is beneficial.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards work responsibilities.
• Must be able to lift moderate weights and perform physical tasks associated with cleaning duties.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week

• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Every weekend
• Monday to Friday
• Night shift
• Weekends as needed
• Year round work

Work Location: In person

Salary : $15 - $16
