Responsibilities
- Safely operate a wheelchair-accessible vehicle to transport passengers to and from their destinations.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting passengers with boarding and disembarking.
- Ensure the vehicle is well-maintained and report any mechanical issues.
- Communicate effectively with passengers and dispatch to coordinate schedules.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.
- Assist passengers with heavy lifting as needed, ensuring their comfort and safety.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to operate various types of vehicles, including vans
- Experience in paratransit or similar transportation services is a plus
- Excellent communication skills
- Capability to perform heavy lifting and assist passengers as needed
- No prior experience required; training will be provided
