Caregiver/Personal Care Aide

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Aide to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the quality of life for our clients, including seniors and individuals with disabilities. This role requires a strong sense of empathy, patience, and the ability to follow care plans while ensuring the dignity and rights of each resident are respected.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Support clients in daily activities such as meal preparation, medication reminders, and light housekeeping.
• Implement care plans developed by healthcare professionals to meet individual needs.
• Observe and report any changes in client condition or behavior to the appropriate healthcare staff.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' well-being.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring all areas are tidy and organized.
• Uphold resident rights by treating all clients with respect and dignity at all times.
• Assist clients with mobility and transportation as needed, ensuring their safety during transitions.

Skills

• Strong understanding of patient care principles and practices.
• Ability to develop and follow care plans tailored to individual client needs.
• Excellent patient observation skills to identify changes in health or behavior promptly.
• Experience in senior care or hospice care is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of resident rights and the importance of maintaining confidentiality.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• A commitment to maintaining a clean environment that promotes health and safety.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.50 - $15.00 per hour
