Overview

Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide support in behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions and well-being.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of living spaces, maintaining a hygienic environment for residents.
- Help residents with mobility, including lifting and transferring as needed while adhering to safety protocols.
- Monitor and document changes in residents' conditions, reporting any concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Support residents in engaging with social activities and maintaining their independence.
- Uphold resident rights by ensuring dignity, privacy, and respect in all interactions.
Requirements
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in a retirement home setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of first aid procedures and emergency response protocols.
- Familiarity with long-term care practices and home care standards is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members.
- Ability to lift and assist residents safely while following proper techniques.
