Medical Biller

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the billing process, ensuring accurate submission of claims, and maintaining comprehensive medical records. This role is essential in facilitating the financial operations of our medical office while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Duties
- Process and submit medical billing claims to insurance companies and government agencies.
- Review and verify patient information, insurance coverage, and medical records for accuracy.
- Utilize ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to ensure proper coding of diagnoses and procedures.
- Follow up on outstanding claims and manage accounts receivable to ensure timely payments.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve billing discrepancies or issues.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date medical records in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Stay informed about changes in medical billing regulations, coding updates, and insurance policies.
- Assist with medical collections as necessary, ensuring compliance with legal standards.

Qualifications
- Proven experience in medical billing and coding, preferably within a medical office setting is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance representatives.
- Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and billing software.

Pay: $15.05 - $15.81 per hour
