Job Description: As a Medical Assistant at The Heart Rhythm Institute of Arizona, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being of our patients. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Key Responsibilities:
- Room and Take Vitals: Prepare examination rooms, assist physicians with patient examinations, and accurately measure and record vital signs.
- ECG/EKG: Perform electrocardiograms (ECGs/EKGs) and assist in the preparation and maintenance of ECG equipment.
- Procedure Assistance: Provide support to medical professionals during various medical procedures, ensuring the safety and comfort of patients.
- Pre and Post-Procedure Information: Offer patients information and guidance regarding pre and post-procedure care, ensuring they are well-informed and comfortable.
- Triage Patient Calls: Assess patient calls, providing guidance, advice, and assistance over the phone, and escalate urgent matters to the appropriate medical personnel.
- Answer Portal Messages: Respond to patient inquiries and messages through the medical practice’s portal, providing information and assistance as needed.
- Medication Verification: Verify patient medication lists, ensuring accuracy and addressing any discrepancies.
- Procedure Follow-Up: Conduct follow-up checks with patients to monitor their recovery progress and address any concerns or complications.
- Monitor Device Alerts: Monitor medical devices and alert the medical team to any anomalies or irregularities, ensuring patient safety.
- Cardiac Monitor Placement: Schedule and place cardiac monitors on patients as required, maintaining accurate records.
Upper end of hourly pay opportunity is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
