Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Receptionist/Medical Assistant to join our busy cardiology office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional clinical patient service and administrative support in a fast-paced medical environment. The Medical Receptionist will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our front desk, managing patient interactions, and facilitating communication between patients and healthcare providers.
The medical assistant will play a crucial role in ensuring our patients are roomed for clinic throughly and accurately. Experience in a cardiology field strongly preferred. Ability to accurately measure vital Signs is required
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Manage incoming calls using phone systems, directing calls to appropriate staff members.
- Schedule appointments and confirm patient visits, ensuring efficient use of time slots.
- Maintain accurate patient records using EPIC
- Perform insurance verification and assist patients with understanding their coverage.
- Handle clerical tasks including filing, data entry, and managing correspondence.
- Assist with medical administrative support as needed to ensure seamless operations.
- Provide information about services offered and answer patient inquiries effectively.
- Uphold confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations at all times.
Requirements
- Proficiency in medical terminology is essential for effective communication.
- Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with EPIC software is highly desirable.
- Strong clerical skills with attention to detail in managing patient information.
