Customer Care Specialist: This position is directly responsible for scheduling our doctors, preparing cremated remains to go home to pet parents, ensuring a calm and clean environment, and maintaining positive customer relations for Heart’s Companion Pet Memorial Center. Communicates with and supports upper management. Maintains confidentiality and professional attitude at all times. Requires computer skills.
Customer Care Specialist Requirements/Responsibilities:
· Displays a strong attention to detail, excellent listening skills and an ability to work independently when needed.
· Coordinate online scheduling for our at home euthanasia doctors, and facilitate with paperwork and authorization needed for appointments.
· Works effectively with other co-workers.
· Must be comfortable with working with deceased pets and cremated remains.
· Expected to demonstrate excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
· Caring and empathetic to the needs of pets and their parents during a difficult time.
· Answer phones; planning with at-need and pre-need families.
· Greet and receive client families and/or other persons in a friendly manner upon entering the center for information and assistance.
· Consistently update manager of daily activities and client interactions.
· Ensure pet memorial center is always tidy and presentable.
· Professional attire is required.
· Occasionally must lift and/or move up to 50 lbs., including handling of deceased pets.
· Accomplish errands as needed.
· On call requirements as needed.
· Maintain physical and electronic files. Microsoft Office knowledge is helpful.
Skills/Qualifications:
We are looking for a caring and compassionate person; detail oriented and extremely conscientious with an ability to multi-task. This candidate must exhibit professionalism, takes initiative, have excellent telephone skills, and are good at listening with intent. Professional verbal communication and excellent written communication are a must. Demonstrates an ability to work in an atmosphere of multiple projects and shifting priorities daily. Must be dependable.
