Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavior Technician to join our team and visit our group homes Monday through Friday from 6p-8p. The ideal candidate will work closely with individuals with disabilities, including autism, to provide support and implement behavior intervention plans. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to document medical records accurately. The Behavior Technician will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients through effective behavioral health strategies.
Duties
- Implement behavior intervention plans as directed by supervisors or licensed professionals.
- Provide direct support to individuals with disabilities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Assist in patient assessments and document progress in medical records.
- Collaborate with special education professionals to develop tailored strategies for children.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation related to patient care and interventions.
- Engage with clients using positive reinforcement techniques to encourage desired behaviors.
- Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities related to behavioral health.
Requirements
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities, particularly those on the autism spectrum.
- Familiarity with special education practices and patient assessment techniques.
- Ability to manage medical documentation and maintain confidentiality of medical records.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Previous experience in behavioral health or patient care is preferred but not required.
