Delivery Driver

Heart to Home Meals (HTHM) is an established brand in Canada and expanded to the US in 2019. We provide delicious prepared meals delivered directly to our customers homes. At HTHM we believe in providing our valued customers with the highest quality meals at a reasonable price. Our meals are geared towards seniors and prepared with their needs in mind. Not only do we provide our customers with great meals, but an invaluable service as we truly care for the wants and needs of our customers. The defining characteristics of our Delivery Drivers are that they’re organized, efficient, and able to adjust quickly to the needs of our customers and business. However, apart from the technical skills that are required with the role, the most important attributes are that we demonstrate empathy, patience, kindness, friendliness, care and warmth to all our customers. Our customers are predominantly over 75 years of age and rely upon our friendly staff to deliver outstanding customer service.

A refrigerated vehicle is provided to you, you are not required to use a personal vehicle for deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be an ambassador for the company in delivering exceptional customer service at all times.
• Undertake pre-shift inspection of your van
• Safe driving style to be damage free and economical
• Clean and refuel your van as and when needed
• Make deliveries in a timely manner and contact the office with any discrepancies or delays
• Maintain customer confidentiality
• Pick customer orders when needed in warehouse freezer
• Improve efficiencies and putting them into practice
• Helping the office team where appropriate
• Reporting health and safety, stock quality and mechanical issues
• This position requires the ability to lift and carry 40lbs

Qualifications and Experience:

Essential:

• Evidence of commitment and stability
• Good attendance and timekeeping
• Completing and submitting paperwork log for each shift
• Driving License in good standing

Desirable:

• Experience within a customer service or care-based role
• Experience of multi-drop delivery role
• Health & Safety training

We are open to hiring multiple people to fulfil roughly 40 hours. This could be multiple Part Time individuals, or combination of Part Time / Full time

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $19.60 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
