Heart to Home Meals (HTHM) is an established brand in Canada and expanded to the US in 2019. The firm provides healthy and nutritious meals to thousands of seniors who enjoy the convenience and variety of having delicious meals delivered direct to their home. The role of our Warehouse Associate/Picker is to assist with inventory receiving, pick and stage orders for the following day's deliveries, and to ensure products are rotated, stored, and maintained to the highest of standards.
The role involves picking customer orders and sorting them in delivery sequence in preparation for our daily deliveries. Our meals are all shipped frozen, so 75% or more of the work time is spent in a walk in freezer. Appropriate cold gear, including overalls, coat, gloves and boots will be provided.
This position has a variable schedule and is part time initially, with scope for more hours as the business grows. The work is typically completed during weekday hours, we are flexible with regards to start times
Key Responsibilities:
- Picking orders and staging in sort-order for multiple delivery vehicles.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the warehouse.
- Receiving shipments and putting them away, ensuring proper rotation and placement.
- Organizing and setting out paperwork for the drivers.
- Assisting with deliveries as/when needed.
Qualifications and Experience:
Essential:
- Candidates must have experience operating in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Evidence of commitment and stability
- Good attendance and timekeeping
- Good with numbers and written communications
- Certificate of good conduct or lack of a criminal record (willingness to undertake checks)
- Ability to understand instructions in Country's official language
- Ability to give voice commands in English
- Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20 Fahrenheit/-25 Celsius
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs./18 kgs
