The ideal candidate possesses outstanding communication skills, broad clinical expertise, a superior organization to manage multiple tasks concurrently, and exemplary leadership and collaborative skills.  The Diagnostic Imaging Manager is responsible for performance improvement, staff education, staff evaluations, safety and risk management, regulatory compliance, and collaboration across the organization.

Essential Functions:

  • Assume complete oversight of the daily operation of the diagnostic team, including employee management and engagement, workflow efficiency, and budget management.
  • Direct, plan, and develop all aspects of quality of care in collaboration with functional leadership to achieve service objectives, and coordinate core business scheduling across functions. 
  • Coordinate with the business and clinical team to resolve patient challenges and concerns, achieving a high level of patient satisfaction. 
  • Ensure the clinic meets and exceeds standards for safe, effective, and efficient clinical practice in accordance with all applicable federal and state laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Ensures facility technical and documentation expectations are compliant and consistent with all regulatory and compliance requirements. 
  • Demonstrates independent critical thinking skills for daily activity and patient flow of the diagnostic radiology department and assumes accountability for personal and team contributions. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3 years diagnostic imaging leadership position
  • 10 years of technician experience
  • Expert knowledge of diagnostic imaging procedures and equipment
  • Active Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • EMR experience
  • Registered technologist with current certification in Radiography by ARRT and CE compliance

 

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Active Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification 
  • Graduate of 24-month AMA approved school of Radiological Technology.
  • Solid understanding of budget development and financial management.

 

Physical Requirements

This position requires a full range of body motion. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to handle or operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 25 pounds. 

Work Environment

Work is performed in a typical medical clinic and/or business office environment. Work in a clinical setting has the potential for exposure to blood and bodily fluids, and infectious pathogens. Must be able to use protective equipment as required.
