The Diagnostic Imaging Manager is responsible for performance improvement, staff education, staff evaluations, safety and risk management, regulatory compliance, and collaboration across the organization.
Essential Functions:
- Assume complete oversight of the daily operation of the diagnostic team, including employee management and engagement, workflow efficiency, and budget management.
- Direct, plan, and develop all aspects of quality of care in collaboration with functional leadership to achieve service objectives, and coordinate core business scheduling across functions.
- Coordinate with the business and clinical team to resolve patient challenges and concerns, achieving a high level of patient satisfaction.
- Ensure the clinic meets and exceeds standards for safe, effective, and efficient clinical practice in accordance with all applicable federal and state laws, rules, and regulations.
- Ensures facility technical and documentation expectations are compliant and consistent with all regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrates independent critical thinking skills for daily activity and patient flow of the diagnostic radiology department and assumes accountability for personal and team contributions.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3 years diagnostic imaging leadership position
- 10 years of technician experience
- Expert knowledge of diagnostic imaging procedures and equipment
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- EMR experience
- Registered technologist with current certification in Radiography by ARRT and CE compliance
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
- Graduate of 24-month AMA approved school of Radiological Technology.
- Solid understanding of budget development and financial management.
Physical Requirements
This position requires a full range of body motion. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to handle or operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 25 pounds.
Work Environment
Work is performed in a typical medical clinic and/or business office environment. Work in a clinical setting has the potential for exposure to blood and bodily fluids, and infectious pathogens. Must be able to use protective equipment as required.
