What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Practitioner position at Heart & Vascular Partners?
We are dedicated to providing comprehensive Cardiac and Vascular care for our patients with a personal touch. To accomplish our goals, we are looking to hire a dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) with an Acute Care Certification to join our team and assist our supervising physicians as Interventional Cardiology Extenders.
Essential Functions of the Role:
- Eligible to provide services reimbursable services and maintain provider status with Medicare and Medicaid.
- Eligible to provide services with no sanctions or exclusion from either the Health and Human Services/Office of Inspectors General (HHS/OIG) or the General Services Administration's (GSA) List of Parties Excluded from Federal Programs.
- Unrestricted medical staff membership, with appropriate practice privileges
- Fill prescriptive authority
- Unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) is permitted to prescribe all medications commonly prescribed in the course of practice.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in nursing and graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Nurse Practitioner Certification issued by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or Nurse Practitioner Certification issued by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB) is required for hire and must be maintained throughout employment.
- Unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license issued by the State Board of Nursing in the state of practice or compact privileges under the multi-state Nurse Licensure Compact agreement
- Acute Care Certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross
Desired Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience in the Cardiology field
Work Environment
This position is a clinical position and will report to the office Monday- Friday from 6:30 am – 5:00 PM.
Physical Requirements
This position requires full range of body motion. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk, and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to handle or operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 25 pounds.
