The Cardiovascular Health Clinic is looking for a trained Paramedic to be part of our Nuclear Stress testing team. As an employee dealing mostly with cardiac emergencies you must be committed and focused. To be effective in the job, the ideal candidate must be very competent and knowledgeable as well as self-motivated and compassionate. Essential Functions of the Role:
• Lead and Coordinate the team responding to an emergency
• Evaluate the patients condition on the scene and preform preliminary diagnosis
• Use tech equipment and tools to stabilize patients or provide immediate treatment
• Monitor patient’s condition during stress test
• Adhere to established medical protocols and procedures as well as legal guidelines and health and safety standards
• Ability to stay calm and make the right decisions in adverse conditions
• Traveling to rural locations for diagnostic testing required
Minimum Qualifications:
• High school diploma; Licensed
• Paramedic is a must
• Proven experience as a Paramedic
• Knowledge of medical procedures, terminology, and medications
• Ability to read and interpret EKG tracings
• Ability to maintain accurate patient records
• Basic computer skills
• Excellent working knowledge of medical equipment and devices
• To be effective in the job, the ideal candidate must be very competent and knowledgeable as well as self-motivated and compassionate
• Valid Drivers License
• Certified ACLS
Work Environment
This position is a clinical position and will report to the office Monday- Friday from 6:30 am – 5:00 PM.
Physical Requirements
This position requires full range of body motion. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk, and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to handle or operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 25 pounds. Travel in vehicle 1-2 hours one way per day.
