Heartbeat Music and Performing Arts Academy is actively recruiting skilled teachers for its infant, toddler, and preschool programs. The academy provides complimentary childcare for our full-time staff and emphasizes ongoing education and professional development opportunities for its staff.
Minimum Qualifications
- Assistants must have at least (6) Early Childhood Education credits and be enrolled or willing to enroll to qualify for an Associate Teacher certification within the first 90 days of employment. (Note: Transcripts will be required to show proof of credits)
- Bilingual skills may be required based on enrollment.
- Must complete 8 hours of Health and Safety training. Additionally, the Infant Teacher must complete Mandated Reporting Training, CPR, and First Aide Training.
- Physical, TB clearance, and Background Clearance (DOJ/FBI/CACI) are required prior to the start of employment.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the observation of infants and toddlers.
- Assisting in supervising and implementing the program for the group in accordance with the policies procedures and philosophies of specified within Title 5 and Title 22 regulations and HBMPAA Preschool 4 the Arts program.
- Record daily services provided to each child within the “My Day Log” (i.e., meals, food, naps, and daily activities).
- Assisting as needed when the Teacher conducts parent-teacher conferences according to the timelines specified with the DRDP 2015 as the need arises.
- Assisting in the order arrangement design, appearance, and safety of learning environments.
- Ensure daily sanitation of material, equipment, inclusive of laundering bedding, washcloths and bibs.
- Other duties as assigned.
