- Administer and configure APC Data Center Expert (DCE)/IT Advisor (ITA) or Vertiv SiteScan tools (not just monitoring but full administrative control).
- Add, configure, and monitor new infrastructure components (e.g., UPSs, power strips, cameras).
- Program thresholds, alerting/alarming rules, and manage license counts.
- Support data center design and floor space management including cabinet power and U-space planning.
- Work closely with Data Center Managers to ensure operational excellence and adherence to uptime targets (99.99%).
- Understand and troubleshoot HVAC, UPS, ATS, and Generator systems and their alerts.
- Maintain documentation and inventory of all MEP and IT infrastructure.
- Enforce data center security and physical access policies.
- Collaborate with vendors and support teams during scheduled maintenance or equipment upgrades.
- Apply change management practices to plan and validate all data center changes.
- Assist in supporting server, network, and storage platforms (e.g., Nutanix, HP, VMWare, Cisco) as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience managing APC DCE/ITA or Vertiv SiteScan platforms
- Hands-on knowledge of MEP systems – electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and data center infrastructure
- Strong understanding of alert configuration, monitoring thresholds, and environmental alarms
- Ability to support incident ticketing and follow change management procedures
- Excellent communication skills using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Self-driven, detail-oriented, with strong organizational and follow-up skills
- Willingness to support on-site work 4 days/week and occasional weekend/on-call support
- Willingness to travel up to 4–5 times/year
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in electrical engineering with exposure to mechanical and HVAC systems
- Experience in data center environments, especially around infrastructure and environmental monitoring
- Experience overseeing vendor maintenance of electrical and environmental systems
- Familiarity with server/storage/networking equipment (e.g., Nutanix, HP, VMware, Cisco switches)
- Knowledge of security and compliance standards related to physical data center environments
