Field Technical Support

We are looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable Technical Support Specialist to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in providing exceptional support to end users by resolving hardware and software issues efficiently and effectively. This position requires strong problem-solving abilities, a solid understanding of IT systems and infrastructure, and excellent communication skills for working with both technical and non-technical users.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide first-level technical support, including software troubleshooting and desktop support.
• Assist users with VPN connectivity, LAN configurations, and general network access.
• Monitor and manage computer systems to ensure optimal performance and security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows operating systems, including updates and system repairs.
• Document support requests and resolutions using help desk tools (e.g., Jira).
• Work collaboratively with IT teams to resolve more complex technical problems and enhance system reliability.
• Educate users on IT best practices, including security awareness and efficient software use.
• Participate in the setup, configuration, and deployment of new hardware and software.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Previous experience in IT support or a related technical role preferred.
• Strong understanding of desktop support practices and software troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with VPNs, LANs, Windows OS, and basic network configurations.
• Familiarity with help desk platforms such as Jira is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical users.
• Strong organizational skills and a proactive, solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
