General Production Worker

Position Summary:

The Production Operator is responsible for performing a variety of tasks within the Solutions Department. These tasks include cart loading, cart staging, inspecting finished products, packaging, palletizing, and general cleaning duties. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and be adaptable to dynamic work conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cart Loading & Staging: Load overwrapped bags onto carts per SOPs and BPR (Batch Production Record). Document results accurately.
• Product Inspection: Inspect both pre- and post-sterile products for visual and functional defects.
• Packaging & Palletizing: Properly package products into shipping cases, ensuring adherence to SOPs and BPR. Palletize cases as required.
• Problem Solving: Refer to A2 and A3 teams for assistance with day-to-day issues, and escalate concerns to the supervisor when necessary.
• Compliance: Adhere to the Code of Business Conduct, company policies, and local, state, and federal regulations.
• Additional Tasks: Assist with special projects as assigned by the supervisor. Specific departmental or location-related duties may be assigned as applicable.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions:

• Standing/Walking: Must be able to stand and walk throughout 12-hour shifts.
• Manual Dexterity: Frequent use of hands and fingers for tasks such as handling, feeling, and operating machinery.
• Lifting: Must be able to lift 10 to 25 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Safety Gear: Required to wear personal protective equipment, including safety shoes, safety glasses, and cut gloves.
• Environmental Conditions: May be exposed to moving mechanical parts, wet or humid conditions, and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level is generally moderate.

Education & Experience:

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: 0-1 year of related experience preferred.
• Skills:
• Basic reading and writing skills, including the ability to read and recognize two- to three-syllable words and understand simple sentences.
• Basic math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide with numbers up to 100.
• Ability to follow simple, one- or two-step instructions.
• Basic understanding of standardized work procedures.
