Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)
Location: Onsite
Pay Rate: $27–$28/hour
Type: Contract (with potential to extend)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) with 3–5 years of experience for an initial contract position, with the potential for extension. Candidates must be detail-oriented and comfortable working independently under general supervision.
MLT certification is highly preferred but not required. Training will be provided on a day shift, with some flexibility depending on the candidate’s availability.
Work Schedule:
- Rotating Shifts:
- Week 1: Tuesday – Friday, 2:30 AM – 1:00 PM
- Week 2: Wednesday – Saturday, 2:30 AM – 1:00 PM
- Training Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Flexible based on candidate needs)
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical laboratory testing.
- Operate various laboratory instruments and automated analyzers.
- Follow SOPs and regulatory guidelines for all testing and reporting.
- Document quality control, maintenance procedures, and corrective actions.
- Assist with inter-laboratory specimen handling and proficiency testing.
- Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to Lab Assistants.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and proper handling of clinical samples.
- Assist with departmental projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Associate’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology required.
- OR Bachelor's degree in Applied, Biological, or Laboratory Sciences with MLT certification (preferred).
Licensure & Certification:
- MLT license required if mandated by local regulations.
- National certification (ASCP or ASCLS) is preferred.
Experience:
- 3–5 years of clinical lab experience required (if no license/certification).
- OR 0–1 year of experience with a qualifying degree and national certification.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of clinical lab testing protocols.
- Effective communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with laboratory systems and computer literacy is preferred.

Pay: From $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
