What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Payable / Accounting Clerk position at Hearth and Home Distributors of Utah?

Hearth and Home Distributors of Utah is a locally owned, stable and growing part of the Utah economy. The company has been in business for over 50 years. The current ownership, since 1973, prides itself in developing a strong company that has thrived through the cycles of the construction market.
As an Accounts Payable/ Accounting Clerk you will:
- Receive, confirm, and organize all vendor invoices.
- Code vendor invoices to correct G/L account and post in A/P software.
- Process all outgoing payments by check, credit card and ACH, in a timely manner.
- Communicate with vendors, as well as intercompany staff.
- Assist in AR collections.
- Be willing to expand the scope of work to assist in all aspects of the accounting department.

- You have good communication skills, while being a pleasant and willing team player.
- You have some accounting education and/or experience.
- You are proficient with 10-key and the ability to balance totals.
- You have experience with Excel.
- You have experience with AR collections.
