What are the responsibilities and job description for the Activity Director position at Hearth & Home of Urbana?
Do you like to have fun and want to get paid for it? Hearth and Home of Urbana is looking for an outgoing, fun loving, motivated person to work in our 32 - bed assisted living community as the Activity Director.
This position is responsible for planning, developing and implementing the activity calendar for our senior residents. We have an environment where our residents can have a fun and active lifestyle.
Position will work with other department managers, assistants and volunteers to deliver a wide range of activities that can include all of our residents with different physical and mental abilities.
Candidates must have a naturally pleasant disposition, be outgoing, like having fun, be energetic and enjoy working with seniors. Also must have a clean driving record in order to drive our 15 passenger van (no CDL is needed).
Ideal candidates will have:
- experience working with in senior living community/home
- experience in planning big and small events for groups of people
- can work with a group as well as individually to get goals accomplished
This is a full-time 40 hour a week position which includes every other weekend.
