Hearth & Home Technologies, the industry leader in fireplace and stove design and manufacturing, is in search of a Supply Chain Engineer Intern to join our operations team in Lake City, MN ! Our internship will run for approximately 12 weeks during the summer of 2024.
Each summer, 15 to 20 students from a variety of majors, join the HHT family for a summer focused on hands on learning, professional development, and networking. This is a paid internship at $22.00 per hour.
HHT interns receive a project (or two!) for the summer and work directly with a mentor for technical and professional guidance. Throughout the summer, professional development sessions are provided for interns including opportunities to learn from and network with senior leadership.
As a Supply Chain Engineer Intern with Hearth & Home Technologies, you will work closely with the Procurement and Scheduling teams to identify opportunity and improve processes.
Projects :
- Develop and document the current state of parts that are managed through a visual count. Research automated solutions to reduce time and data entry errors.
- Review and document the difference between planned and actual truckload volume. Recommend improvements to reduce the differences found.
- Review daily transportation methods for replenishing raw materials and recommend improvements to optimize freight spend.
