The Sanitation Manager will lead a team of up to 31 hourly sanitation employees and 2 salaried Supervisors. This strategic leader develops and executes the sanitation program by providing technical support and overseeing the cleaning and sanitization of equipment, surfaces, and plant environment.
Scope:
- Develop and execute the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) to clean and sanitize equipment, surfaces, and plant environment according to Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP's).
- Ensure proper chemical utilization and handling to optimize cleaning chemistry, application methods, and safe practices.
- Audit sanitation-related activities, report non-compliances, and take corrective actions to ensure compliance with quality assurance food safety requirements.
Requirements:
- 3 years of sanitation hourly and salary leadership experience in a food manufacturing environment.
- 5 years of wet and dry sanitation experience.
- Knowledge or experience of the sanitation process, cleaning chemistry, chemical storage, handling, and dispensing systems, and sanitary design principles.
- Continuous improvement mindset and passion for sanitation, understanding its importance to safety and quality of manufactured food products.
