Role Overview
As a Warehouse Material Specialist, your role is pivotal in the moving and storage of various products and materials. You'll thrive in a structured environment where safety is of utmost importance. Adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) is essential in this position.
Shift Information:
2nd Shift: Work from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM with a $1.00/hour shift differential. Shifts run Monday to Friday.
3rd Shift: Hours are 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM, also with a $1.00 differential. Choices of Sunday through Thursday, or Monday through Friday.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Transport, pack, and dispose of various materials and products.
- Utilize forklifts, handcarts, or pallet jacks for order picking and loading duties.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels.
- Supply product lines as scheduled or directed.
- Efficiently ship and receive materials during your shift.
- Operate all equipment in line with safety protocols.
- Account for product movement through counting and weighing.
- Ensure products are correctly labeled and identified.
- Participate in housekeeping tasks to uphold 5S standards.
- Undertake additional tasks as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
- Understanding of GMPs or readiness to learn
- Forklift certification eligibility within 90 days
- Proficiency in operating stand-up and extended forklifts
- Basic math skills
- Commitment to safety policies and practices
- Proficiency in English preferred
Qualifications & Experience
- Preferably a high school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum age of 18 required
- Prior experience in material handling beneficial but not essential
Work Setting
- Exposure to varying noise levels, machines, and temperatures
- Team environment requiring respectful, professional communication
- Potential for necessary overtime and shift flexibility
Physical Demands
- Reaching with hands/arms daily
- Lifting capability up to 90lbs assisted, 40lbs unassisted
- Standing for up to 80% of work hours
- Walking, climbing, and balancing throughout the shift
