Critical Clean Team
Job Summary:
The Sanitation Critical Team is responsible for completing all daily tasks as assigned by the Sanitation Supervisor/Critical Clean Team Lead. They must have an understanding of the task assigned, able to multi-task, communicate objectives and have a solid understanding of the equipment.
Job Duties:
Understanding objectives of responsibilities and carrying out the assigned task
Helping to change the culture of cleaning to include pest control
Disassemble equipment to provide a deep clean
Utilize electrical knowledge to clean in and around electrical components
Have the ability to identify insect activity and utilize pheromone traps
Understanding of SSOP’s
Learn the Master Sanitation Program
Clean product debris, lint, dust, oil and grease etc. from machines, overhead pipes, and conveyors. Clean screen filters. Scrub processing tanks and vats.
Operate pressure washer / steam clean equipment as directed by supervisor.
Remove unfit pallets.
Pick up reusable scrap for salvage and stores in containers.
Wash walls, ceilings and woodwork. Wash windows, door panels and sills.
Empty wastebaskets and empty and cleans ashtrays.
Transport trash and waste to disposal area.
May operate industrial truck to transport materials within plant.
Start pumps to force cleaning solution through production machinery, piping or vats.
Regular attendance is required between the assigned start and end times for work.
Required Competencies & Knowledge:
Experience in cleaning the task assigned to work
Knowledge of all plant safety policies as well as the sanitation cleaning chemical program
Have an understanding of the task assigned; such as but not limited to, cleaning baggers, cleaning wrappers and/or cleaning laminator systems. This is a position that requires a thought process of removing all unexposed portions of the area to be cleaned, cleaning it and placing the cleaned area back into production in a sanitary status
Understand the pest control program
Skill in:
Good team approach
Ability to work in a faced paced environment based upon a defined time set for completion of tasks
Able to follow directions
Licensed scissor lift and boom operator a plus
Microsoft Word and Excel
Production schedule board
Mechanical background a plus
Work Environment:
Work is completed on the production floor
Frequent production environment exposure which includes noise, dust, moving machinery, fork lifts, and fluctuations in temperature.
Able to clean from elevated positions, such as lifts and mezzanines
Able to work in a potential wet environment
Physical Requirements:
Reaching with hands/arms throughout the day.
Ability to use hands and fingers.
Ability to see, hear and talk.
Ability to stand, walk, climb and/or balance approximately.
Ability to work in light to moderate noise levels.
