ProtoTRAK Machinist – 1st Shift
6am – 2:30pm with overtime as needed or voluntary
Job Summary:
Individual will utilize Prototrak Lathe equipment and have the capability of turning, reaming, boring, facing, and threading parts according to a part print specification.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
Manufacturing environment - exposure to a variety of machines, noise levels, and varying temperatures.
Depending on which location, our environments can be very warm or refrigerated.
Team environment - must be able to work well with others and communicate in a respectful and professional manner.
Ability to stand up to 80% of the time scheduled
Ability to lift 40 lbs. unassisted and 40-75 lbs. assisted.
Must be able to work necessary overtime based on staffing needs and customer demand, as well as across shifts.
Experience with:
Prototrak Lathe including Setup and Programming
Position Requirements:
At least 1 year of machining experience, or applicable apprenticeship, trade school, or community college program
Selecting proper tooling, feeds, and speeds for applicable materials
Able to read blueprints, understand GD&T and offsets.
Operate vertical metal cutting saws
Ability to work independently and in a team atmosphere
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Experience using gauges, calipers, dial indicators, and micrometers
Experience on other CNC machines such as Milltronics and Haas would be a plus.
Must be 18 years of age.
Must be knowledgeable in GMPs and the HACCP program or willing to learn
Must have the ability to understand and follow all safety policies and procedures.
Ability to read and write in English preferred.
